Druk Air to Carry Out Major In-flight Refurbishing Works

The airliner is planning new seating configurations, refurbished seats, improved flight services and entertainment devices for long flights in its three air buses

Druk air will conduct major refurbishment and reconfiguration of the cabin and in-flight seating arrangements of the three airbuses.

Among others the airliner plans to increase its seating capacity and have comfortable seats before the start of the peak season.

The airliner has already sent one of the Airbuses to Hongkong for refurbishment and the other two are scheduled to be sent on February13 and 20.

The General Manager (Commercial), of Druk Air Namgay Wangchuk said “The refurbishing will be excellent and will give a new look to all Druk Air cabins,”

Druk Air had to consider reconfiguring the leased Airbus that had only economy class but no business class seats. The airbus will now be improved and will offer business class seats as well.

“We just had a cabin divider and we did receive a lot of complaints,” said Tshering Penjore.

The commercial manager of Druk Air, Tshering Penjore said the seats of the other airbuses were in bad shape and needed replacement.
